...Driver Hiring Guidelines

Must be at least 23 years of age (Insurers prefer 25 years of age). A minimum of two years experience in the operation of the tractor-trailer equipment. Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier guidelines. Must have a valid commercial drivers license with proper endorsements or chauffeur license (where applicable) in the state of residence. NO current license suspension or revocation. A work permit is not acceptable. No offense for driving while intoxicated/under the influence EVER. No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past three years. No more than three moving violations in the past five years and no more than two moving violations in the previous 12 months. No serious disqualifying traffic vilations within the last three years, as follows:

Excessive speeding, involving any single offense for any apeed of 15mph or more above the posted limit. Recless/Careless driving, as defined by state, local law, or regulation including but not limited to, the offense of driving a motor vehicle in a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of person or property. Improper or erratic lane changes. Following to closely. Hit and run. Leaving the scene of an accident. Failure to report an accident.
